Zebrahead announce new album Walk the Plank
American punk rock heroes, Zebrahead have announced details for their new full-length and 12th studio album, Walk The Plank, which is set for release in Australia on Friday 16 October 2015 through Rude Records.
The album was recorded with Paul Miner (long-time friend and old writing, recording and touring partner of band member Dan) at Buzzbomb Studios, Orange County, and consists of thirteen heavy punk rock songs blended with catchy pop hooks.
On the album’s title, bassist Ben Ozz comments “Touring all the time and traveling can be a bit of a pirate's sort of life, so it fits in that sense. So in a way to us it's about taking a chance in life and walking the plank of life. It could also just be too much rum in the Mai Tai also but that's another story!”
He continues, “It's one of our best-sounding records to date. We wanted it to sound like you're in an arm-wrestling competition at the beach while doing a keg stand! Hopefully it'll take you on that journey before the ice in your cocktail melts!”
The band’s new song, Save Your Breath is the first taste of what’s to come and can be seen below.
Walk The Plank follows the recent split EP Out Of Control with Man With A Mission that impressively charted at number one in the Japanese iTunes Rock chart and at number two in the overall physical chart for the whole country.
Zebrahead’s brand new album, Walk the Plank will be released in Australia on Friday 16th October 2015.
