Weezer to return to Australia
It's been over 15 years since their last visit. For many, it's been a painful wait. Numerous attempts by AJ Maddah to get the band to Australia for the Soundwave Festival have always ended in failure. But now, fans can rejoice, as Weezer are returning to Australia!
According to a post on the band's website, "Theres been a lot of roadblocks tossed in the way over the years, but we have finally cleared the road... er, flightpaths... and are absolutely thrilled to finally return to the ancient and goodly Land of Down Under!"
As a bonus, as well as the usual "greatest hits and rarities", the band will be performing their 1994 debut album, Weezer (also known as the Blue Album), in full.
Tickets for all shows go on sale Thrusday 26th July. A pre-sale will be available for Weezer fans through their email list. The presale will be at 3pm on Tuesday 24th July through to 3pm on Wednesday 25th July.
