The Virginmarys to release debut album King Of Conflict
The Virginmarys debut album King Of Conflict crowns an incredible couple of years for the trio from Macclesfield, UK.
Live performance has always been the bedrock of the groups approach Spending 2011 touring their homeland alongside the likes of Slash and Skunk Anansie, the band made their North American debut at the annual CMJ festival in October 2012. On the bands return to England, they were straight back on tour, headlining all over the country in support of their Dead Man’s Shoes single and recently bagged a deal with DoubleCross Records, the new Rock imprint at independent cornerstone Cooking Vinyl.
Although their brief career has been a veritable whirlwind, Classic Rock Magazine insists the Virginmarys' conception came at just the right time; "The drive of the Foo Fighters, the lyrical voice of the Arctic Monkeys, The Mary’s have justified the hype".
King Of Conflict was recorded live in the studio with Toby Jepson who has skillfully captured the spontaneity and power of the bands live performance. Mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro) the tracks leap out at you. Fiery, crisp and relentlessly groove-driven, you cannot help but be hooked on the first listen.
The Virginmarys King Of Conflict is out 25th October.
