Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Announce Summer Headline Shows
Having already been announced on the thrilling line up for Falls Festival and Southbound in 2012 and 2013 respectively and selling out his one-off Sydney show at Oxford Art Factory in no longer than four minutes, we are extremely excited to announce Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ headline sideshows for Melbourne and Brisbane this summer.
Orlando Higginbottom AKA ‘Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ first began turning heads in 2010 when he released his third EP through the much loved record label Greco-Roman (partially run by Joe Goddard of Hot Chip) and a track called ‘Household Goods’... thus triggered the avalanche which has seen TEED move from strength to strength across the world.
Earlier this year TEED released his stellar and long-awaited debut LP titled ‘Trouble’ through the widely respected Polydor Records. The album raced to #1 on the Australian electronic album charts and has since basked in praise from media, critics and fans from around the world. Considering the rarity of a debut album featuring tracks as mature as jams like ‘Tapes & Money’, ‘Garden’, ‘You Need Me on My Own’ and ‘Stronger’, it’s no surprise that the juvenile producer from Oxford (UK) has radio waves and blogs around the world lively with his overt musicality and scarily on-point jungle dance intuition.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has spent a large amount of this year travelling the world and wowing punters wherever he goes with his unique live show, most recently at festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bestival. We’re now happy to finally announce that TEED will be headlining the Corner Hotel (Melbourne) and Oh Hello (Brisbane) this summer around his highly anticipated festival appearances.
Taking the reigns as main support on both shows will be Melbourne act City Calm Down who have recently been turning heads with current single ‘Pleasure & Consequence’ and will be releasing their new EP “Movements” on the 2nd of November.
Dates and Tickets:
Thu 4th October - Sydney, Oxford Art Factory - SOLD OUT
Sat 29th December - Melbourne, Corner Hotel - tickets from Corner Hotel
Thu 3rd January - Brisbane, Oh Hello tickets from Moshtix
