The Tea Party Reformation Tour Australia 2012 : The Live Double Album
This July, The Tea Party are returning to Australia for their first tour in seven years and to celebrate, the band will be recording the shows in order to release their first ever live album. Promising all your favourites like Save Me, Sister Awake and The River, amongst a plethora of others, the album is sure to be another epic journey through genre and mood true to The Tea Party’s distinctive legacy.
All this said and done though, this process isn’t shaping up to be like any other “standard” release, instead the band are enlisting the help of the fans and attendees of the shows. Stating; “We want to make it, you want to hear it, now it’s up to you…” The Tea Party have started up a pledge system, where anyone can pledge funds towards the making of this record, with The Tea Party stating that “Recording and releasing a record is expensive and that is why we have joined forces with PledgeMusic. If there is enough demand for the live record, and we hope there is, we’ll record it in July and release it in September”.
So, the pledging system works as such; A minimum pledge starts at $12 and entitles you to access the “Australia 2012 : The Live Double Album Download”. If you have a bit more cash you can go right up to a maximum pledge of $725 for Jeff Martin’s Sennheiser Vocal Mic. There are a multitude of options in between that can account for any budget, including a Signed Double Gatefold Vinyl, T-Shirts and much, much. There’s some incredibly cool Tea Party items up for grabs, so get in quick.
