Soundwave 2016 first lineup announcement
It's finally here! After much dripping and a lot of waiting, the 2016 Soundwave festival lineup was released last night. Joining the ten or so previously released artists are headliners Disturbed along with The Prodigy, Deftones, NOFX and many more. This is the first of two announcements, with the second, featuring "Another 10 to 12" acts, following in a "couple of weeks :)" according to AJ.

When asked about further metal bands, AJ said "There's lots more metal to come."
Any chance of Failure side shows? "We're doing 1 in Melb."
"NOFX and Refused doing hour sets. Other 2 (Frenzal Rhomb and L7) doing 45 minutes"
Among the list of bands not playing sideshows are Disturbed, Deftones, FrnkIero, Prodigy, Bring Me The Horizon. Given the tight timing of the tour, there will be limited sideshows, apparently with none in Sydney at all. AJ has previously revealed that he's contemplating a four-band metal sideshow for Perth.
Discount early-bird tickets are still available from Soundwave. Be quick, they're not on sale for long!
