Soundwave 2015 firstwave announcements

Picture
In an attempt to introduce bands that have never toured Australia before, Soundwave festival, in conjunction with Music Feeds, has this week started revealing the first acts for the 2015 festival with what they call their #firstwave announcements.  While one band will be revealed each night  this week, there will not be any headlining or major acts announced just yet.  Soundwave says this is in order to give "each of these upcoming bands their time to shine before the main announcement is released."

Soundwave's full lineup announcement is expected some time in the next few weeks.

But for now, the first acts announced are Japan's Coldrain, New York's Patent Pending, the duelling female vocals of California's Butcher Babies, London-based prog-metallers Monuments and California ska punks The Interrupters.

And don't forget, Soundwave 2015 will be a two-day festival, with headlining bands swapping between cities on each weekend.

Sat 21st and Sun 22nd Feb - Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
