Splendour 2014 lineup changes
Splendour In The Grass has received news that Alex Trimble of Two Door Cinema Club is in hospital in the UK. As a result the band is no longer able to make the trip to Australia for their exclusive appearance at Splendour 2014. The band sent us this message to share with Splendour ticket holders…
“It is with a heavy heart that we are going to need to cancel our upcoming trip to Australia for Splendour in the Grass. Alex collapsed at Seattle airport on the way to London and has been hospitalised with a chronic stomach complaint. We are devastated to have to cancel this show that we were so looking forward to. We can only apologise and hope for your understanding at this time. Love TDCC x”
There is no further information about Alex’s health at this time but Splendour sends him and the band their best and wish him a speedy recovery!
In light of this news there will be some changes to the lineup as it means there is a gap in the playing times...
And up step Foals! Splendour's eleventh hour saviours had a weekend off their European Festival headline tour, so decided that flying to the country that gave them their first Number 1 album was the right thing to do.
They're going to fly in for 48 hours & give us one of their internationally renowned 'extreme level' live performances. Give it up for the UKs Best Live Band!! Splendour are stoked to present Foals exclusively this July!
Splendour are also thrilled to announce that City and Colour will move into the headline position on Saturday 26th July to close the Amphitheatre Stage.
On this tour, Dallas Green plays just one sideshow, a one-off solo performance at the prestigious Sydney Opera House which sold out in a matter of hours, and the only performance with the full band will be headlining Splendour In The Grass on Saturday night. If you haven't seen his live show yet, now's your chance!
Splendour sincerely thanks all these artists for their assistance.
For those who purchased a single day ticket particularly to see Two Door Cinema Club, refunds for Saturday 26 July single day tickets only will be available from Moshtix until 5pm Monday 21 July. More info about refunds here.
