Slumberhaze announce new single & Australian tour

Sydney-based groundbreakers, Slumberhaze are happy to announce the new single taken off their final 3-Part EP trilogy Rhyme, Rhythm, and Romance (RRR3), Run as Fast as You Can, Kids, which will be released on Friday 12th February, 2016 via iTunes and Bandcamp. The quartet will be playing a stack of tour dates along the east coast to launch the new release, with local bands to support.
Run as Fast as You Can, Kids follows on from the success of their previous single, Nothing But You (taken off RRR2), which achieved spot rotation on triple j, high rotation on Double J and triple j unearthed, and over 100,000 plays on Spotify. The new song finds the band at their best: darkly melodic, mid-tempo, and instantly memorable. Lyrically, the song explores the despair-inducing rat race of modernity, holding a mirror up to the blinkered mentality we so often see in others, but ignore in ourselves.
Accompanying the single is a 32-bit era music video depicting the members of the band as characters in a Mario Brothers style video game. The unique concept heightens the band’s already incredible catalogue of film. Boasting a YouTube channel replete with artful music videos and hilarious skits, Slumberhaze fall into that rare class of artists who undertake everything they do with sincerity and seriousness, while not taking themselves too seriously at all. The official music video is set for release on Friday 19th February 2016 and the highly anticipated RRR3 EP is scheduled for release later this year.
Slumberhaze will bring their energetic live shows to Newcastle, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Wollongong and Rye in March. Tickets are available through venue outlets.
