New Qld music festival Sandalphon this spring

Australian music festivals are dropping like flies, but don’t empty your festival outfits from your shopping carts. Heck, don’t cancel your gym memberships! From their demise, have risen a brand new three-day music festival that really aims to impress.
Launching over the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend (1st - 3rd October, 2016), Sandalphon will take over 225 acres of private land in the Gold Coast Hinterland to bring you three colossal days of international music. Hosting monumental acts across seven stages - the showcase of indie bands, DJs and hot mix of R&B artists will make Sandalphon a yearly fixture on your calendar.
The biggest artists will bring The Main Stage alight and this year’s performers have 225 international awards between them. The Lake is a must see - it is a stage built on a lake, with inflatable pool toys all around for the crowd to float on. The Treehouse stage is hidden off the festival map as a secret town, and will be home for the R&B artists.
The Campground Stage is host to a diverse range of artists, keeping the party going into the early hours, and The Marquee will be rocking all the country club vibes. You’ll think you’re in Ibiza at the Zest Nightclub, and the Hendrick’s Parlour of Curiosities will be home to our beloved indie artists.
But wait!... there’s more.
Every ticket includes free camping. There are heaps of amusement rides, and there’s even a pop up hotel - it really has got everything!
Looking for somewhere to take your new Sandalphon festival romance? The Open Air Cinema will be screening some of your favourite shows and movies nightly from 9pm, so you can Netflix and chill.
Now, let’s be real. Bathrooms are the bane of most people’s festival experience, but Sandalphon has stepped up their game on the ‘ol portaloo front. Bathroom attendants, yes attendants, will be on deck keeping bathrooms stocked and pristine at all times including; FREE makeup, hair bands, bobby pins, hair straighteners, hair brushes, perfume and body sprays. You have no excuse not to look your best!
Food in the Fields is an Australian festival first - three full sit-down restaurants, a general store, a farmer’s market, takeaway options and a selection of private food vendors. The options will keep even the most on-trend foodie in rapture.
The Australian Red Cross Save a Mate program, and Red Frogs Australia will both be on site during the festival, manning chill-out zones and spreading their good vibes and charitable nature.
