Ryan Van Poederooyen announces national masterclass tour
Ryan "RVP" Van Poederooyen is one of the most accomplished drummers in heavy music and he is best known for his work with Devin Townsend. Ryan will be in Australia on tour with The Devin Townsend Project (TDTP) in October and will be staying on at the end of the tour for a series of masterclass workshops.
Not solely about drumming, these events will be more a masterclass on music, and life within the music industry. Ryan will share some of his experiences from the road, the studio and the stage, which would be invaluable to anyone aspiring to be a full time professional musician.

Ryan has been a part of The Devin Townsend Project since its inception in 2009 and before that was a member of The Devin Townsend Band (2002-06). He has played on seven Devin Townsend studio albums, three live albums and appeared on four DVD’s. Ryan also plays in Terror Syndrome, a band he formed with members of Annihilator and TDTP and also plays in Ten Ways, a prog-rock band formed by ex-Devin members. Ryan is also a sought after session player; having worked with Brian Howes (Nickelback, Hinder, Puddle of Mud, Daughtry), Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Rhys Fulber (Fear Factory, The Tea Party, Josh Groban) and many more.
