The Rubens free Corona Sunsets tour

Like a cold Corona on a hot afternoon, Australia’s other favourite summer ritual, the Corona SunSets tour returns in 2016 with another massive, free, and (almost) national run of shows.
Leading the charge is one of Australia’s hottest exports, The Rubens, armed with their critically acclaimed sophomore album Hoops and set to light up the stages of 20+ venues across the country this November.
Kicking things off in Sydney on November 10th, The Rubens will then hit Corona’s favourite venues across Victoria, NSW and Queensland, before winding up in Western Australia in early December.
It’s been a hell of a ride for the band of five from country NSW. The release of their debut self-titled album in 2012 was nothing short of legendary, scoring them a J Award nomination for Best Album and sending them to platinum sales status. The album’s breakthrough track My Gun shot them to the #10 spot on triple j’s Hottest 100 that year.
After three years on the road, Hoops was finally unleashed in 2015. The single of the same name became the anthem of the year, its giant rock hooks and the unmistakable voice of Sam Margin catapulting them to #2 spot on the ARIA charts and the coveted #1 spot on triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2015.
Whether playing to thousands at Splendour in the Grass, sell out shows in London or intimate acoustic gigs, The Rubens have proven that as a live act they are a force to be reckoned with.
