Polaris April national tour
Polaris celebrate the release of their ARIA dominating debut album, The Mortal Coil, by hitting the road this April for their most ambitious run to date. Joining Polaris will be US metalcore titans, The Plot In You, along with fellow countrymen hotly tipped Melbourne outfit Alpha Wolf and Adelaide melodic hardcore act Ambleside!
To those in the know, Polaris had been Australia’s best kept secret on the heavy scene for quite some time. However, a Triple J feature album, #6 album debut on the ARIA charts, and a largely sold-out national tour has seen the Sydney natives quickly transform into one of Australia’s most talked about acts.
Before their headline album tour kicks off inth April, Polaris will support Australian heavy music icons Parkway Drive on their 14 date Decade of Horizon’s tour as it travels around the country.
US outfit The Plot In You are four albums into an already-successful career, however, complacency doesn’t appear to be in their vernacular. Turning everything up to ten for their maiden release under the Fearless Records banner, the Ohio-based quartet enlisted the production services of Drew Fulk (The Amity Affliction, Crown The Empire) for DISPOSE, their most sonically satisfying effort to date. Traversing the alt-rock and metalcore genres with ease, lead cut Feel Nothing racked up more than a million streams within its first few months of release!
Fans of grooving (and at times, downright terrifyingly heavy) riffs won’t need an introduction to Melbourne mosh merchants, Alpha Wolf, after a string of hugely successful tours with Australian bigwigs Thy Art Is Murder and Make Them Suffer has seen them firmly tagged as a must-see within the metal community. Their cracking first release for Greyscale Records, MONO, managed to create its own ruckus in the ARIA charts during release week as well, cracking the national top 30.
Rounding out this four-headed touring monster is South Australian punk rock troupe, Ambleside, a group whose fierce commitment to the road and their DIY roots has seen them land tours with everyone from Counterparts and Hellions to Trophy Eyes and Silverstein. They may not be as traditionally heavy as their tour buddies, but Ambleside’s onstage intensity is second to none.
Don’t miss out on what is sure to be one of the wildest tours of 2018!
