Polaris announce Australian tour
Sydney's Polaris have been one of the breakout stars of Australian heavy music in 2016. A triumphant emergence into the scene in January and February this year with their EP The Guilt and the Grief and tours around the country with both Dream On, Dreamer and Stories has set and spiked a career-setting path for them.
Now, they are announcing their headline tour in May 2016 sees them traverse the Eastern side of the country alongside their friends in I, Valiance and Justice for the Damned. The band will be heading to a slew of All Ages and AA/Licenced venues and taking the show directly to the fans who have been so incredibly loyal from day one.
February's release of the EP saw Polaris pull off their ARIA and AIR chart results. It also debuted at #1 in Rock and Metal on iTunes, as well as overall at #6, finishing at #11 overall. The EP featured two singles streaming on Youtube (Regress and Hold You Under featuring Marcus Bridge from Northlane), with a combined viewership of over 70,000 within two months of release. Polaris enjoyed triple j spins on The Racket, Short Fast Loud, 2016 with Richard Kingsmill and Home and Hosed, playlisting on Spotify's "Go Hard or Go Home" playlist.
The tour also features the massive sounds of I, Valiance and Justice for the Damned.
I, Valiance have solidified themselves as a force to be reckoned with in both Australia and overseas, playing main stage at Soundwave 2015, and touring with heavy hitters Make Them Suffer and Black Tongue. Recently I, Valiance released their first single with new vocalist Simon Kuiper, which climbed to the top of Triple J Unearthed's overall charts in just 3 days.
Justice for the Damned have built ever expanding fanbase by touring extensively around Australia, supporting Thy Art is Murder, Hellions, In Heart’s Wake and many more as well as countless shows on their own. Their new single, Deep Rotting Fear is testament to their relentless work ethic and creativity.
