Mat. McHugh to play at Rockford winery in Barossa Valley
With the soulful sounds of the dynamic Ash Grunwald still reverberating off the stone walls of the courtyard, Rockford Winery thought to themselves, How do we top that?
They needed to look no further than the front man and creative force behind The Beautiful Girls, whose iconic album Spooks was the soundtrack of many summers past. Mat McHugh's first solo album Love Come Save Me takes him back to his musical roots; stripped back, no computers, only guitars, bass and drums. Add to this the intimacy of the courtyard, a Barossa night sky above the gums, great food prepared in the Rockford Kitchen made all the better with a glass of your favourite Rockford wine in hand and you have one outstanding night out.
For these concerts, Robert O'Callaghan, Rockford Founder and Winemaker, has one very simple criterion and that is the artists play real instruments. Having honed their craft and artistry with hands-on skill and creativity, the artists Rockford chooses to play for you reflect their own principles.
Tickets for this magical show are $110 and includes a glass of wine and tasty supper, including sweets. Wines will be available by the glass or bottle.
