Make Way for Man announce tour
Perth 6-piece tech metallers Make Way For Man, featuring members of Saviour, Sparrow and This Other Eden have announced a tour taking in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in July 2016 in support of their EP released earlier this year, Evolve & Repair.
The tour announcement is today bolstered by their promo video showing off exactly what a Make Way for Man live show is all about. Sweaty, heavy and manic.
Make Way for Man established itself in late 2014 with the vision of creating heavy music with a positive message, and 2015 saw the release of their first single Limitless to instant acclaim. The studio video from DarkSpirit Photography accompanying the single reached 20,000 views on YouTube within the first week, and is currently sitting at over 50,000 views, it also garnered multiple plays on Channel [V]'s [V] Loud show.
The 2016 release Evolve & Repair was recorded in Perth at various studios with the help of their friends Tristan Sturmer and Cody Brooks, and was mixed and mastered by Brian Hood at 456 Recordings in Nashville, TN. The EP contains six previously unreleased tracks which are all lyrically themed around the preservation of self. Specifically, focusing on the negative effect mankind has on each other and our surroundings, whilst urging for positive change within ourselves. Musically, the band fit no single genre, and are the result of their vast and varying influences, from mind-bending time signatures to soaring pop hooks, guttural breakdowns to massive, technical guitar solos, this release has something for every heavy music fan.
We Will Surely Drown was the first single to be released from Evolve & Repair and was debuted on Triple j's Short.Fast.Loud and the video has been a massive success for them.
For fans of Protest the Hero, Periphery, A Day to Remember, and I Am Abomination, Make Way For Man is a 6 piece comprised of members of some of Perth's hardest working heavy and alternative acts in the form of drummer Jordan Mather of Saviour, vocalists John Kelly and Sean Hendry of This Other Eden and I, Said the Sparrow, guitarist Drew Shepherd and bassist Adam Mather of Prescient and guitarist Josh Allcock.
The EP is available now via digital download and hard copy release available from Make Way for Man and at iTunes. The tour dates are on sale now and ticket will be available at the door as well.
