Machine Club announces east coast Wise Up tour
Machine Club is the culmination of blood, sweat and tears, both shed and gained, from years in other musical groups and DJ outfits. Imposing a stratagem of music diversification, Machine Club is music you can dance to with razor sharp edge.
Having already kicked off his first national tour behind the debut single Wise Up, Machine Club has added some additional dates to complete the circuit. The tour kicked off with Byron Bay and Gold Coast performances with a cross-country trek to Dubbo, Adelaide and Melbourne. Before all that, though, Machine Club will proudly join K.I.M of The Presets on support in Brisbane at The Flying Cock for AAA Backstage's Birthday Bash.
Eschewing a daring mix of post-punk and heavy, industrial electronica, Machine Club spurs a new shift in primal electricity. Wise Up is a seamless movement from his studio chair to the bigger stage - pertinently recapturing the core electronic and deep synth trend of a bygone era.
Wise Up is maximalist electronica - it doesn't stay complacent in its greater musical context. Deep, mesmerising dance beats and synth arpeggiations underpin a raw, niche passion from the artist. It's music to dance to with thought woven into its lyrics - music of this moniker has sounded so real and foreboding. Machine Club progresses further outside the square and builds a living, breathing deep-electoronic-rock moment.
This is one of the first complete bodies of work that Machine Club has finished, it's only fitting that it's also the perfect introduction to the project.
"The song touches on the realisation of and where society is currently at - there's lots of things going on which people ignore or choose not to say attention to," says Machine Club.
Machine Club first appeared on the stage at last year's Bigsound. Now, the artist is taking to bigger national stages with a thumping, dynamic live set that serves as a distinct element to the Machine Club brand.
