Luca Brasi announce March national tour
Loveable Tasmanian punk rock ruffians Luca Brasi have unveiled a slew of national tour dates for March 2015 with the UK's Gnarwolves and Perth's Tired Lion. Capping off a landmark year for the band, this tour will see them make new pals and win fresh hearts with their celebrated brand of warm, thoughtful melodic punk.
Dynamic, hard-hitting and heart-swelling, Luca Brasi's outstanding sophomore album By A Thread was released this March and caught the attention of live music lovers, music media and national radio alike.
The video for the album's next single Benthos premiered on triple j's Home & Hosed blog earlier this week and is now available for public consumption...
A cursory review of 2014 suggests that Luca Brasi are a band on the up and up: their first triple j rotation add and an honourable mention at the recent triple j Awards, a Rolling Stone premiere of the very spirited video for Borders & Statelines, a triumphant showing at Bigsound live, that saw the band ensnare a US agent a mere three songs in and a new domestic booking deal with New World Artists.
On the live front (a very important one for the quartet), the band sold out shows on their national Get Sad, See Mates tour, were one of the banner attractions of the 2014 Poison City Weekender Fest, toured alongside Mansfield's finest export Violent Soho, toured China for the first time ever and claimed a slot on this years' Marion Bay Falls Festival.
This March, Luca Brasi pay forward the many positive karmic favours that the universe has bestowed upon them and bring two exceptionally deserving bands along for the ride on their extensive national tour.
Hailing from the pebbly beaches of Brighton in the UK, skate punk trio Gnarwolves have been tearing up the underground across Europe, America and their native England off the back of a trio of acclaimed EPs. With their brand new debut self titled record out now and following main stage slots at Reading and Leeds and tours with Blink-182, The Story So Far, The Wonder Years, A Wilhelm Scream, Gnarwolves’ debut Australian visit is not one to miss.
Perth’s Tired Lion round out the bill. The young WA quartet’s fuzzed out riffs and big hooks landed the indie rock quartet tours with British India as well as smashing the recent BigSound conference in Brisbane.
