Jeff Lang to play intimate show at Rockford winery in Barossa Valley

Announced earlier this year as being the winner of the 12th annual National Folk Recording Award for his critically acclaimed album Carried in Mind and more recently nominated for Best Blues & Roots Album at the 2012 ARIAs, Jeff Lang is wrapping up his Australian tour with a stop at the beautiful Rockford Winery situated in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.
Of the album, Jeff says, "Carried In Mind is a batch of brand-new, reconditioned, rust-removed, freshly ventilated, instinct-driven musical conversations between sleep-deprived, cheaply-clothed, (mostly) freshly-shaven, (partially) clean-living, flinty-eyed gentlemen wielding precision instruments with all due care & respect".
Rounding out the evening is the incredibly talented Eli Wolfe. Presently touring in celebration of his new single “We all Started Something” as a taster of his forthcoming EP slated for an early 2013 release the combination of Jeff Lang and Eli Wolfe is nothing less than a match made in heaven.
Situated in the shadow of the Barossa Ranges, Rockford lies right in the heart of the Barossa Valley. A courtyard shaped winery which grew from an 1850s stone settler’s cottage and outbuildings, set across five acres of land in the village of Krondorf, makes for a perfect backdrop and residence for an evening of top notch music accompanying a plethora of culinary delights.
In the words of Robert O'Callaghan, Founder and Winemaker at Rockfords, “the winery is not just a building but a large piece of sculpture with Barossa wine running through its veins, hopefully when you walk into the courtyard you’ll instantly feel a sense of all that it represents”.
This will be Jeff's final Australian show before heading for Europe for the rest of November.
Tickets for this magical show are $110 and includes a glass of wine and tasty supper, including sweets. Wines will be available by the glass or bottle. Doors open at 6:30pm, with Eli Wolfe on stage at 7pm, followed by Jeff Lang performing two sets.
Bookings are essential, as tickets are extremely limited. For tickets, contact Sarah on (08) 8563 2720 or via email.
This is an evening outdoor event so please dress accordingly.
