The KVB Announce New Album Minus One
UK duo The KVB will release their 3rd album, Minus One, on the 26th November, 2013 through A Recordings, the label founded by The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe.
The KVB is the audio/visual project of London youngsters Nicholas Wood and Kat Day, who combine reverb-heavy, wall of sound guitars, minimal haunting strings and grinding bass synths, fucked up motoric drum machine beats and delay drenched vocals with a backdrop of imagery to accompany the symphony. Such sensory assaults have seen The KVB’s live following swell, and their gig schedule become busier all the time - with their touring schedule bringing them to Australia in December this year to support The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
The KVB have been quietly releasing slabs of droning guitars, minimal synth melodies and reverb-drenched vocals since 2010. Handpicked by Newcombe to be on his A Recordings label, The KVB are currently in Newcombe’s Berlin studio working on a new EP for release in January 2014.
Minus One was recorded by the band themselves over five days of intensive recording in their London studio, and features the lead single, Again & Again.
Minus One is out on the 26th November 2013.
