In Hearts Wake Green Is The New Black 2022 Australian tour

Australian heavy music act In Hearts Wake are stoked to announce a massive 28-date national tour in celebration of their new feature length documentary, Green Is The New Black, which has recently finished screening across the country and internationally alongside Earth Week 2022.
The huge 27 date Green Is The New Black tour will be hitting cities and regional towns across Australia throughout August, September and October 2022 and will also feature some of the most exciting heavy acts in the country with support from RedHook, Pridelands and Banks Arcade.
“After not being able to tour properly for the past two years, it is our great pleasure to announce this huge national run of shows and return to towns that we love. We are also excited to take this new touring model out on the road and keep learning along the way. We cannot wait to celebrate Green Is The New Black with you!” said In Hearts Wake.
Green Is The New Black examines the music industry’s relationship to the environment. While the film chronicles the making of In Hearts Wake’s 100% carbon offset 2020 album Kaliyuga and their journey to becoming the first band to be a certified Carbon Neutral Organisation, it is more than a film about one band and one album. As In Hearts Wake examine their processes and search for more environmentally sustainable options, inspiring new possibilities for an entire industry begin to emerge.
In Hearts Wake’s Green Is The New Black tour will see the band perform brand new songs written and produced especially for the new film, along with fan favourites from the outfit’s impressive five album discography.
In true In Hearts Wake form, the band will offset 150% of the carbon emissions created from their touring operations, carefully calculating all emissions produced to cater for their transport, energy and consumption over the run of shows. The band are also pleased to share that the video for Worldwide Suicide has been nominated for the first ever Environmental Music Prize, a new award that amplifies the voices of artists who inspire action for climate and conservation through inspiring music videos. Fans can vote for Worldwide Suicide here.
In addition to the tour, In Hearts Wake today also announce that a special Pay Per View screening of Green Is The New Black will take place on Tuesday 17th May, along with a live Q&A hosted by the band. There will be one tree planted for every admission. Any fans that purchase a ticket to Green Is The New Black tour before 11:59pm AEST Sunday 15 May will gain automatic access to the Pay Per View screening and Q&A - so gather your friends and get on to tickets quick.
