I Built the Sky March/April Australian tour
Melbourne progressive instrumental project, I Built the Sky will tour the nation across March and April in support of the recently released second album The Sky Is Not the Limit. Released at the end of October 2016, The Sky Is Not the Limit quickly gained the support of media in Australia and around the world.
I Built the Sky is the work of one man, Rohan ‘Ro' Stevenson, from Melbourne, Victoria. 2016 was a big year for Ro. After four years as a studio project, I Built the Sky was finally taken to the stage! Beginning by supporting Between the Buried and Me / CHON in February, I Built the Sky notched up several impressive shows including a co-headline tour with James Norbert Ivanyi, a performance at Melbourne Guitar Show Main Stage and opened for last months Ne Obliviscaris tour with German prog masters The Ocean. On December 23, 2016, I Built the Sky released a music video for the track Merry Christmas.
2017 sees I Built the Sky taking the next logical step with the announcement of The Sky Is Not the Limit Australian national tour.
Guitar skills, monster riffs, ambient sounds and plenty of kick arse heavy music will be on display. Don’t miss out on one of the most anticipated Australian tours of the year!

Ranging from techy instru-metal to intricate punk, to more ambient sounds with a heavy emphasis on advanced guitar techniques, I Built the Sky is totally captivating and immerses the listener in its musical themes.
Every I Built the Sky track is named after a cloud formation, one that best represents the sound of the song. This unique theme is prevalent throughout the entire discography of four releases to date; a self titled album, 8-track EP, a B-sides album and the Translucidus single.
I Built the Sky is a vehicle for Ro to explore all aspects of musicology. An avid songwriter and player, Ro is also completely involved in the production side of his music. From recording to mixing and mastering, every aspect of every release has his full attention to detail giving him complete control of his art.
With incredible support for the international guitar community, hundreds of thousands of YouTube plays, countless cover versions of his songs all over the net and the endorsement of companies including PRS Guitars (USA), Bare Knuckle Pickups (UK) Sherlock Amplifers (AUS) I Built the Sky are on a near vertical trajectory. The Sky Is Not the Limit indeed!
