Future Music Festival
The summer festival season is shaping up to be huge in 2012, with so many of the world’s greatest artists visiting our shores early in the new year, and the Future Music Festival is certainly standing up at the forefront of the festivals on offer. Taking in all capital cities and boasting a lineup which showcases an eclectic collage of old and new, collecting probably one of the most diverse and impressive lineups in the history of the festival, the 2012 Future Music Festival is certainly not to be missed.
On top of bringing out one of the most anticipated live debuts in the festival’s history and landing them for the first time on Australian soil, SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA’s stadium show is guaranteed to be a highlight, but couple that with the likes of a newly reformed NEW ORDER (sans Peter Hook, but that’s another story); FATBOY SLIM (aka Norman Cook) - who’s never failed to blow away an audience; the truly fabled and distinctively wonderful DIE ANTWOORD; recent Australian visitors THE WOMBATS, who wowed audiences across the country just this last October; the long awaited return of APHEX TWIN plus so many more, it’s utterly ridiculous.
