Frontierer announce 2022 Australian tour
Scottish Extreme Metal outfit, Frontierer will bring their unrelenting, uncompromising brand of sonic punishment to Australian shores for the very first time this October! Joining Frontierer on all shows are Brisbane’s Apate.
Fusing mathcore cacophony with downtuned bludgeoning tones for a progressive metal sound layered with electronics, Frontierer are in a class of their own.
The band comment on the tour; "We're incredibly excited to be heading to Australia to play a limited number of shows in October. We have a strong fanbase and we've been eager to perform over there for a number of years, so we're really looking forward to some crazy shows.”
Originally a two-person bedroom project created by Scottish guitarist and primary songwriter Pedram Valiani and American vocalist Chad Kapper, the band has since grown to become a fully-fledged touring machine with bassist Calum Craig, guitarist Dan Stevenson, and drummer Luke Coursey fleshing out the current lineup.
After their debut live performance at UK Tech Metal Festival 2016, Frontierer was listed in Rolling Stone Magazine's Best Metal Albums twice with two subsequent albums in 2016 and 2018 reaching #14 and #17 respectively!
Additionally, the band has made their mark alongside heavyweights in their genre such as Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan with critical acclaim from Bandcamp Daily's article A History Of Mathcore, citing Frontierer as a, "venomous brand of future-punk well worth exploring.”
Cutting their teeth by sharing stages with scene heavyweights like Polaris, Thornhill, Born Of Osiris, Void Of Vision and She Cries Wolf, Apate now hold their own and dominate the east coast heavy scene.
Recently signing to Human Warfare records, a label created and run by Andy Marsh of Thy Art Is Murder, to release their Rage EP in 2021, Apate are a band who bleed out their experiences, with their indescribably songs reflecting a chaos of the mind.
