Canada’s The Flatliners to release third album Dead Language this September
Holy shit! Canada’s beloved punk rock devotees The Flatliners have their fourth album, Dead Language, signed, sealed and ready to be delivered! The follow-up to their much adored, 2010 album Cavalcade, Dead Language is a certified, high energy, wall to wall banger; it’s been call punk rock album of the year material.
Ten years on the road have honed these four brothers-in-arms into a finely tuned musical unit. If you spent every minute, every penny of your adult life on the road, you might make a record like Dead Language. Starting up before they were allowed to drive cars, The Flatliners have already clocked up a decade of playing music together every day; in every basement, every colossal concert hall, every tiny European nation that would have them. At some point, the interaction between instruments, between members, transcends the brotherly love of most touring bands and enters the terrifying realm of twin telepathy.
Dead Language is a response to a decade of sonic and physical adventuring; their most personal and intelligently constructed album to date. Featuring 13 new tracks of unrivalled punkrock songwriting, break-neck guitar rhythms, gritty vocal delivery and arena-sized choruses, it is truly a memorable punk rock record. And it is magnificent.
The Flatliners are Chris Cresswell (vocalist & guitar), Scott Brigham (guitar), Jon Darbey (bass), and Paul Ramirez (drums). Since forming in 2002, the band has released 3 full-lengths LPs, countless 7”’s and has toured extensively across the world - including three visits to Australia- with the likes of Anti-Flag, Cancer Bats, Dropkick Murphys, NOFX, and Less Than Jake.
