2016/17 Falls Festival ticketing changes
The fine folks at Falls Festival are always looking for ways to ensure their processes are smooth and your experiences get better each year. They asked what you wanted in their survey earlier this year and you’re helping them make some smart moves. They’re starting with the first step, ticketing. Here’s what you can expect to see at Falls this year...
The Ballot has retired.
After a long and illustrious career dishing the tix, the Falls Ballot is now entering her twilight years and has decided to hang up her boots - ready to enjoy a well deserved shandie and a rest. As the giant Falls lottery heads to Florida, Falls tickets are taking to the express lane - heading straight to General Sales!
Here are your options for getting tickets quickly...
Optus Perks Pre-Sale.
Optus customers who sign-up to Optus Perks will have first access to Falls 2016/17 tickets with the Optus Perks Pre-Sale, commencing at 9am Thuerday August 25th and Friday August 26th before the General Sales kick in. If you’re an Optus customer get first dibs on tickets for you and your pals and secure your spot at Falls this summer by signing up to Optus Perks today!
General Sales.
Starting on Tuesday 30th August, just a week after our lineup announcement, Falls General Sales will start at 9am AEST on the noodle, so make sure you’re ready. You’ll be able to buy up to four tickets in a single transaction through Oztix (so make sure you have an account set up), all of the prices and details will be available on the Falls website very soon.
Become a Friend of Falls.
Have you been to three or more Falls Festivals? Want some cool prizes and access to tickets? Well then, become a Friend of Falls and join our new little club, set up to reward Falls veterans. Check out the application process here before it closes on Monday 22nd August.
To camp or not to camp?
To give our East Coast patrons more flexible options, we’re separating out camping from event tickets this year for Lorne and Byron Bay (Marion Bay camping is free). If you want to camp onsite and enjoy the full immersive Falls experience (recommended!) just add a camping pass before you check-out. If you’re a local and heading home to your own bed sounds more enticing, just buy an event ticket and forget the camping pass. Whatever suits you best.
Be front row for the full line-up announce on Tuesday August 23 and become a subscriber. They can’t wait to share all the finer details with you all very soon.
Falls will be hitting up four unique locations over two silver-lined weeks this December and January:
Wed 28th - Sat 21st Dec - Lorne
Thu 29th - Sat 31st Dec - Marion Bay
Sat 31st Dec - Mon 2nd Jan - Byron Bay
Sat 7th - Sun 8th Jan - Fremantle
Be front row for the full line-up announce on Tuesday August 23 and become a subscriber.
