Annual mini-festival Destroy Music back for 2013

Destroy All Lines are excited to present the return of their riotous annual touring mini-festival Destroy Music. A year off has allowed them to cook up a line-up to rival the 2011 installment that saw audiences lap up The Amity Affliction, I Killed the Prom Queen, Deez Nuts and Of Mice and Men. This year they’re dishing up a mega line-up of brutal bands to destroy music over NINE huge shows for all ages in May and June.
Los Angeles melodic hardcore gurus The Ghost Inside continue their ferocious assault on Australian audiences, following a mostly sold-out tour with brothers The Amity Affliction last September. 2012 saw The Ghost Inside receive broad and unabashed acclaim for their unique blend of intelligent, personal hardcore, delivered in the form of Epitaph Records debut You Get What You Give. The album even stormed Triple J Short Fast Loud’s annual listener’s poll, taking out #3 position. They’ll pack their most hectic riffing, crushing break-downs and bone-crushing live shows to dominate Australian stages in typical ruthless style.
Haling from Queens, NYC, Emmure take the callousness of life in their neighbourhood and channel it into an explosive catalogue of straight up, straight-forward metalcore. They’ll clock up a decade of delivering intense, intelligent heavy music this year, on the back of fifth album Slave to the Game. The openness and honestly of vocalist Frank Palmeri promises that Emmure’s live shows will be high energy, high precision brutality with added soul.
Antagonist A.D are committed to delivering modern hardcore with old school aesthetics. They address social and political issues, loaded with venom and conviction. Having cleaved their way through Australia, Southeast Asia and home-nation New Zealand (with bands like Most Precious Blood, Have Heart and Parkway Drive), Antagonist AD are poised to commence a fresh aural onslaught.
Sydney’s Hand of Mercy have done everything on their own terms from day one. Delivering their heaviest release ever in 2012’s self-funded Last Lights, HOM are renown for pulling a diverse crowd. Catch them smashing stages just like they’ve done on tours past with The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive and more.
Prepare yourselves for another hectic chapter in Destroy Music history. See you in the pit.
