Dallas Frasca announces final Sound Painter launch dates
Following on the back of an already impressive list of 30+ shows Dallas Frasca is proud to announce the final launch dates for the official Sound Painter album tour.
After a 4 star review in the Sydney Morning Herald, a personal endorsement from Slash, a third place in the International Songwriting Competition AAA category and a showcase at Bigsound in Brisbane this week, this is truly the year of the Frasca!
As far as accolades for Rock N Roll music go, it doesn’t get much better than legendary Guns & Roses guitarist Slash not only spinning a copy of your album all around the USA in his tour van, but actually taking the time to let you know he digs it too. That’s exactly what’s happening right now for Melbourne’s Dallas Frasca and her sophomore album Sound Painter.
After much hullabaloo, build, anticipation, blood, sweat, tears, money, lust and lunacy, Sound Painter was released in May of this year. Lead single All My Love carved the way, blasting out across Australian radio waves and taking out 3rd place (from over 16,000 entries) in the International Songwriting Comp.
Recorded in New York City with Australian producer Andy Baldwin (Bjork, Chrissie Amphlett, Living End, Kram, Cat Empire) at Rola Pola Studio’s in Brooklyn, Frasca and co hit the road immediately post release on an epic run of shows to launch the album that saw them take in everywhere from The Sydney Opera House to the Saloon Bar in Wagga Wagga and everywhere in between. Now, with over 30 shows and counting, and with the album still pummeling radio waves, Dallas Frasca and band mates Jeff Curran (guitar) and Peter McDonald (drums) have saved the best till last and have just announced the final leg of their Sound Painter album launches.
