Cosmic Psychos release new video for Better, Not Bitter
You're parched as all hell, the sun is burning a hole in your head, you haven't seen a house or a car for hours and you're in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, a ute pulls up with three of the roughest looking bastards you've ever seen. Mere moments later you drop to your knees, frighteningly aware of what's about to happen, all you can think is... "Fucking bullshit maaaaate!"
The Cosmic Psychos are back with their latest video for Better, Not Bitter - but this time they may not be the "blokes you can trust." The Aussie punk legends have gone full "Wolf Creek" in their latest clip, co-starring NOVA radio personality Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Animal Kingdom actors Anthony Hayes and Justin Rosniak, playing a trio of unlucky buggers whose car broke down in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Directed by Matt Weston (director of the Cosmic Psychos: Blokes You Can Trust doco), the video was filmed on location at Psychos frontman Ross Knight's farm, and gives a nod to the iconic Aussie horror flick Wolf Creek, with just as much guts and gore, but a whole lot more riffs.
Better, Not Bitter is the first single from the band's highly anticipated new LP Cum The Raw Prawn, which was also recorded on Knight's farm in January this year and is set to be the next chapter in one of the biggest comebacks in Aussie rock history, with the Psychos and their beer-soaked, bulldozer-fuelled pub anthems now more popular than ever.
The Psychos are also poised to hit the road with their bong-head proteges, Brisbane's Dune Rats, for an Australian tour in June, in what is guaranteed to be one of the loosest series of gigs the country has ever seen. Let's all pray that they leave their homebrew, bulldozers and guns at home.
