Cloud Control national acoustic tour
Hot off the national Laneway Festival tour, Cloud Control will play 35+ shows taking in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. All shows will be acoustic and free entry at Corona's favourite bars across the country.
Kicking off in WA on the 20th March, the tour will wind up on the Gold Coast on 10th April.
Cloud Control burst onto the music landscape in Australia and abroad in 2010 with their debut album Bliss Release, winning them an avalanche of praise, leagues of fans, ARIA Award nominations and the 2011 Australian Music Prize.
After the huge success of that first album, Cloud Control moved to the UK, took stock, set up in a cave in the Kentish countryside and started to work on their new album with Barny Barnicott (The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Spiritualized).
Released last year, Dream Cave is filled with classic songwriting and melody, and sees the band cut loose from their roots and embrace a spirit of experimentation. Praise for this exploration has been rolling in by the bucket load, with Dream Cave recently winning the FBi Radio SMAC Award for Record Of The Year and being shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize.
To accompany all this great news and the acoustic tour announcement, Cloud Control is releasing Dream Cave Unplugged, a gorgeous acoustic recording of the band’s second album.
Dream Cave Unplugged breathes new life into the original release, stripping it back and emphasising the band’s truest strengths; their outstanding songwriting and superb harmonies.
Having played a big national tour for Dream Cave last year, Cloud Control is consistently on the bill for tastemaker festivals at home and abroad, playing Laneway, Splendour In The Grass, Field Day (UK) and a sold out show at Vivid Festival to name just a few.
Currently on tour in the UK and Europe, Cloud Control’s stripped back, lo-fi tour for Corona Extra will take you straight to where you’d rather be!
