Breaking Orbit to release new album Transcension
Breaking Orbit has continued the journey they began with 2012's The Time Traveller. Their brand new album, Transcension is set for release Friday 29th May and is available for pre-order right now through their website. This next instalment from the Sydney based four-piece follows on from their critically acclaimed debut album The Time Traveller.
Transcension , a nine-track progressive rock album, was recorded at The Grove Studios outside of Sydney, with the band re-engaging with producer Dylan Mitrovich to bring it to life. Once again, Matt Quayle's soaring vocals feature against a massive dynamic range across the album.
Transcension takes the listener from the softest of instrumental breaks to the most complex and intense heavy moments and anywhere in between not just in the album, but in any given moment in the songs.
Transcension expands on the concept and knowledge of The Time Traveller, sharing the same technicality, tied together with powerful melody and movement, lyrically reinforcing a positive message of inner strength and unity.
Vocalist Matt Quayle is proud to put forward the album, saying, "We have evolved alongside the creation of this album. It's not only a continuation of the story of The Time Traveller, it's a massive leap forward for us as well."
The first single Become The Light' took to the airwaves on Triple J, AndrewHaugRadio, and a host of digital and community stations. The single debuted along with other new material from the forthcoming record whilst touring nationally with post rock legends sleepmakeswaves and featuring on the Mastodon tour earlier this year.
The band will be releasing a limited pressing of individually numbered albums available worldwide via pre-order only.
Transcension features the inspiring visual artistry of Cameron Gray, who had the almighty task of illustrating the band’s musical expression - matching the aural journey to a visual representation of the music and the message.
A preview series showcasing the creative process and concepts behind the album will be presented via www.breaking-orbit.com and social media.
